太平洋戦争前夜の1940年、17歳の大辻清司が古本屋で買った「フォトタイムス」。瀧口修造や前衛写真との出会いです。「フォトタイムス」は41年に戦時下雑誌統合令により「報道写真」へと変わり、表紙には最新機器と若き兵士たち、ガスマスクを手にした女性などが登場します。ミツバチが表紙の「写真科学」にも「撃ちてし止まむ！」の文字があります。

During and after the Pacific War 1940, Ōtsuji Kiyoji bought 'Photo Times' from secoundhand book store when he was seventeen. This is first tauch with Shuzou Takiguchi and avant‐garde photograph. 'Photo Times' changed themselfes to news photograph because of policy 1941. New weapom, young soldiers and ladies wirh gasmask showed the magazines cover. The magazine 'photo sience' typed 'Uchiteshi Yaman (Never give up untill win)'letters with a honey bee.
